The powerful idea of 'love'

I've seen this so much in myself recently, but it wasn't until I saw it in a friend that I recognized it in myself. 


I'm in love with
the idea of being in love.

I want to grasp it, seize it.
The concept itself if beautiful.

How two minds can become infixed,
with raw love
and tender affection.

Love is magical
and many people have
fallen in love with the
pure idea of being
in love.

I had my first real breakup, and it wasn't until after that I realized that I didn't NEED to be in a relationship. It's hard to step back when all my friends are at the age that they're all getting married, or engaged, and having kids, or have at least been with long term partners. I've moves continents twice in the last 5 years and it's hard to form attachments when I know it's only another 3 years before I'll have to move again for school or work. 

But you know what, all things come with time.
